Pakistan qualified for the Asia Cup cricket tournament by beating Afghanistan by one wicket in Sharjah on Wednesday.


Batting first, Afghanistan set a winning target of 130 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted twenty overs.


In response, Pakistan reached the target for the loss of nine wickets in 19.2 overs.


Shadab Khan was adjudged the man of the match who scored 36 runs and took one wicket.


The final of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Sunday.
